Advocacy Awards – Each year, TARC honors individuals and organizations that have made exemplary efforts to advocate on behalf of Oklahomans with developmental disabilities and their families. The 19th Annual TARC Advocacy Awards will be held December 7, 2009. To nominate somone for an Advocacy Award download the nomination form and return by 5:00 p.m.on Friday, October 9, 2009. Shot in the Dark Golf Tournament – TARC's major fundraiser is a 4-person golf scramble with tee off after dark! How can that be? With glow-in-the-dark golf balls and glowstick greens markers, of course! The 2010 tournament will be held on Friday, May 7th at LaFortune's Championship Golf Course. Golfers may check in between 7-8:00 p.m. and volunteers are asked to arrive by 6:30 p.m.
Individual players are welcome, registration is $100 and Foursomes are $300. Sponsorships are also available, ranging from $1,000-$10,000. For more information, contact Christina Merlo at TARC, 918-582-8272 extension 223.
