Support across the lifespan

TARC is a network of programs and services that provide education, advocacy and support to empower people with developmental disabilities and their families to secure the supports they need and maximize the quality of their lives. These programs are designed to provide this support through all stages of life beginning with parental support for children diagnosed with developmental disabilities followed by age-appropriate support groups and self-advocacy mentoring throughout their lives.

In addition, TARC OK AIM volunteers visit Oklahomans with developmental disabilities receiving State support for residential housing and other services to ensure their quality of life is at a high standard.

TARC also provides grief support for adults with developmental disabilities preparing for end of life, when staff terminates employment or when long-term roommates pass away or move. TARC is committed to providing needed support to individuals with developmental disabilities across the lifespan.
